Babalas

June 27, 2010 by Victoria Rowe No Comment

As you know, we often run a party bus, either on a Wednesday night or a Friday night, that’s when things are happening in town. Well on Friday night our party bus was much more exciting as it was my birthday. mmm. This is the best excuse to be able to drink tequila without anyone complaining. And hell you know how I enjoy tequila.

So to carry on telling you about babalas, I was explaining to my guests that I would not see them on the Saturday as I will have one hell of a babalas (hangover) and this is the meaning, it’s a South African word that comes from the Zulu word babalazi for drunk or hungover. Now that you all know what babalas means, enjoy your next babalas and no it could never be the tequila!!!
