Backpackers Plettenberg Bay

Let’s meet in Plett

September 14, 2010 by Victoria Rowe No Comment

It has long been recognised that conferences and business meetings demand peaceful venues which allow delegates to shut out the world and focus on the business at hand. Most country areas within striking distance of major business centres know this and there are now a large number of conference and training centres across the country which offer the requisite combination of comfort and functionality.

Easily accessed from Port Elizabeth and a day’s leisurely drive from Cape Town, Plett’s location on the Garden Route seems a logical choice for development as a coastal conference destination. Our magnificent views, a concentration of eateries in the business centre, the many accommodation options and a plethora of tourist attractions for “time out” periods all have the potential to attract corporate interest. The infrastructure required to host a conference or training course is essentially the same as that required for a specific occasion, which means that conference facilities are versatile enough to attract celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries and corporate awards ceremonies as well.

The current economic climate demands financial circumspection and there is a need for packages which will suit corporate budgets so, after all the tourists have gone, where better to meet, or to celebrate, than in Plett?
