PLETT FOR PEACE

September 17, 2010 by Victoria Rowe 1 Comment

On the 5th November 2010 from 5:30PM at Central Beach, there will be a celebration of light over darkness. Bring a candle and your passion for positive over negative, love over hatred, peace over war, good over evil.

Not compulsory but if you wish to participate in the Green Skin Initiative, which is South Africans standing against racial hatred and fear, we’ll be painting our faces or hands green, or just wearing green clothes. There’ll be peace addresses by Father Johan and the Buddhist Centre as well as candle lighting by the crowd.

Festivities will include drumming, fire dancing, and many, great musicians: The Reggae Ambassadors, Brent Kozak f. Lorette Pagel, Chris Morningstar, Heather Waters (CPT), Shomon (DBN), Patrick & His Drums, Simon (Bitou Kikka Opera), Phakamisani School Kids, and Chrissie.

Diwali delights available. Food starts at only R5. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED! Bring kids and friends to enjoy a brilliant evening of sharing and fun! ALL WELCOME!
