The Brydes Whale

A message from the whale company: The Brydes whale has a pointed head with 3 rostral ridges running along the top.
The best time to see them along the South African coast is autumn and early winter (attracted by large shoals of small fish, i.e. Pilchards, anchovies etc. easily spotted by diving gannets), but could be available all year depending on food.
I’m one half of the team that runs the day to day activities at African Array Lodge. This blog is an effort to keep you updated on what’s happening here at African Array & Plettenberg Bay.
