Whales spoted at Keurbooms

Message from the Whale Company: A female Southern Right whale spotted off Arch Rock at Keurbooms strand in Plettenberg Bay. This is 1 of 3 Southern Right whales currently in the bay. We also spotted a Humpback whale breaching in the middle of the bay +100 – 150 Bottlenose dolphins off Keurbooms Village.

Message from the whale company: On our 9h30 boat trip today we saw a Southern Right whale a Sub-Antarctic Skua as well as Cape Fur Seals. This Southern Right whale was lob-tailing – beating the surface of the water with its tail. This is also a form of communication.
